Boundaries between bikes and light vehicles are blurring.
Sustainable travel made accessible and attractive.
The core idea was to design a vehicle that allows its rider to escape for a few days. While driving the luggage is barely noticeable, being integrated into the frame itself and due to electric driving support.
The storage being an integral part of the frame required a new approach construction- and materialwise. So while based on the Randonneur, a classic bike type for long distance races, the frame explores a whole new bicycle typology.
Designed for disassembly the bike can be easily cleaned and maintained, also during a ride. The drivetrain consists of a drive shaft for transmission and hub gears that enable recuperating energy while coasting and backpedalling.
The materials used for the bike are chosen to make it an eco-friendly way of travelling. Recycled aluminium forms the A-shaped frame profile while the covers are made from natural fibre composite.
Depending on the length of the course the permanent storage is expandable with additional bags if needed. The lockable main trunk protects luggage against weather with its hard-shell cover.
